I think all the monsters during this Victorian time were outcast to the world and they all went on some sort of killing spree to prove their manliness to the world because they were looked over some kind of way. They all died a hard death in the end that was fitting because they all caused some kind of harm to mankind in most of these stories. Take a look at Invisible man he hurt a child and so did Jekyll and Hyde. Dracula was draining the blood out of his victims and gave a child as a sacrifice to be eaten. I mean how heartless and cruel could one be. They proved their man hood by over powering anyone that came in their path. But the ultimate cost at the end was death for them and it probably was satisfying because they were considered outcast and that was their payback to the world for being wronged.
