Response to Characters of The Great Expectations

I feel Estella and Pip would have been fine if her mother had just let them be kids and get to know each other. Though they are from different backgrounds they could have still found that median to love each other. I like them because opposites attract. Mrs. Havisham was pitiful because she was jilted and she had all that rotten food still out I guess it was punishment for the man that jilted her and she just could not get over it. Joe is just a regular man a blacksmith by trade he was not educated much and wanted an honest days living and wanted pip to take on the trade. Pip wanted to be a gentleman and as he approached London I am sure it was not what he expected. Mrs. Joe was mean and she hit Pip I did not like her.
