Dickens childhood presented itself on the great expectations because he was abused and he saw things he should not have saw when he was in the group home. He was poor and fell in love with someone that was not in his same class and face rejection. I think him being able to be himself or reinvent himself played a part in him creating Pip, As he was modeled after Dickens childhood. I think he witnessed the abuse of children being prisoners and other adults. His dad was imprisoned for debt which may have created the idea of the prisoner that escaped the hulk and wanted food. And he beat up prisoner two for betrayal unbeknownst to me. I think Dickens may have seen to much as a child and this was dickens way of telling about it through Pip. The Blacking Factory scarred this poor kid for life. Poor Dickens!
